Sohail Castle – Fuengirola

Sohail Castle (Castillo Sohail) is a historic fortress located in Fuengirola. The castle stands on a small hill at the mouth of the Fuengirola River and offers beautiful views over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The castle was originally built by the Romans, but the current structure dates back to the 10th century when it was rebuilt by the Moorish rulers of the area. Over the centuries, the castle has undergone several renovations and expansions. The castle has played an important role in several historical events and is definitely worth a visit.
